Dolores Gonzales Elementary is honored to receive a Community School Initiative (CSI) grant that provides FREE afterschool programs for its students for the 2016-2017 school years!
The Community School Initiative (CSI) grant is funded by the ABC Community School Partnership. Partners include Bernalillo County, the City of Albuquerque, APS, United Way of Central NM, and the Albuquerque Business Education Compact. The objective of this partnership is to provide elementary and middle school-age children opportunities to thrive in before and/or after school time environments that encourage improved student learning, stronger families, and healthier communities.
After School Programs Offered through CSI for 2016-2017
Soccer Club: is a non-competitive club that will focus on skill development. Students will learn basic soccer skills and scrimmage against one another, but will not play other schools.

Basketball: Students will learn fundamentals of basketball, and play against other South Valley schools (to be arranged, but games will be on Wednesdays: parents are responsible for transportation to/from games)

Fun Fitness Club: Students will stay fit by exercising, circuit training, with other fun games, stations, and activities.
